PROMISES CLIMATE CHANGE WITH BIG CHINA?

27th of March, 2010

Today, delegates looked more tense than ever in the General Assembly this morning. China agreed to follow the foreign policy, which includes: agreeing to immediate action to deal with climate change, signing on a working paper for cutting down CO2 emissions, and initiating bike programs. This seems good news for all developed nations, especially for United State. By 2010, Obama expected China to contribute to global solutions, such as climate change, in order to demonstrate its moral leadership. It also practices what Bush said before was China has be a “responsible stakeholder”. So, the question is, can China really be a responsible stakeholder from what they agree with? Or China promises on climate change will inevitably be broken?
