After an opening session of the Security Council on Saturday in which Hamas and the new Egyptian military government have proposed and engaged in several coordinated initiatives, the United States delegate to the Security Council has been quoted as saying “I am very concerned about Egypt’s increasingly close relationship with Hamas”.
