The SFU associate dean of Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences Paul Budra made a short stop during the opening ceremony of SFUMUN 2011.
During his speech, Dean Budra frequently emphasized on how the real and tough issues we face today in our global
community will not be answered in a simple way. Often, we must deal with the world as it is and seek new solutions and summon a new spirit of cooperation.
At the same time, Dean Budra commended on the IPC personnels of SFUMUN. He noted that it will be a great opportunity to learn about what media can do to the political world.
In the end, just like what Dean Budra addressed, "It's the media that shapes
our society."
